My Story
I am an Internist who hails from Los Angeles, California, now practicing hospital medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. I completed my Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Berkeley, my medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine, my Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, and residency at the University of Washington Medical Center.
When I entered medicine, I knew that I wanted to use my medical degree as a platform to do other things and have always sought other opportunities to broaden my clinical and professional skill sets. I have worked for a healthcare consulting firm and was hired because of my experience as a hospitalist, since I was able to speak the language of physicians and thereby train them to document better. Over my career, I have been able to work in healthcare IT, healthcare consulting, and media as a medical expert, using my M.D. as the basis for exploring other industries.
I appreciate opportunities to engage with the public via broadcast media and panel events, helping facilitate engaging discussions that inform people both about their health and where they stand on critical issues facing our world.
